WHAT IS ICT?

Simplified, ICT refers to any technology that relates to information and communication.

When considering the technology that is available that produces these aspects of information, and sometimes a combination of all of them, we refer to such technology as mobile phones, digital cameras, and video cameras, for example. Information can take many forms, including sound, video, text, and images.

Computers and computer-related items, email, MMS, and other means of communication are now included in the repertoire of technologies because information and communication technologies are the only thing used today.

Today, we do not even need to leave our rooms or homes to find some type of ICT in our daily life. We all use them in some capacity, whether it be a computer, plasma TV, or cell phone. As ICT consumers in today’s society, people all aspire to live linked lives, which is the one dream that unites them all.

Because of this, a large portion of the population chooses to live with ICT. Additionally, this lifestyle choice is altering how we interact and receive information, speeding up shopping, and changing how we communicate.

We now live in a world that is ruled by technology, which is driven by consumers, since ICT has infiltrated and affected many parts of our life. No matter how we choose to view it, it is undeniably a significant aspect of our lives and is here to stay.

BENEFITS OF ICT IN EDUCATION

There are some benefits of ICT in learning which are student can access enormous amount of information quickly, learning process become easier and more update about new issues and can improve richness of learning experience. As mentioned above, ICT helps students to get many useful information. They do not have to worry about lack of information during their study time because ICT help them in gaining a lot of information. Students just need to click the mouse and just in seconds, everything already get ready.

Moreover, students no longer have to rely on printed books as main references. Sometimes references books contain outdated information thus learners will carry on wrong information. This will bring bad efffect in learning process. If they stick at ICT, they only need to carry notebook which mean more light and conventional. With the internet, a wealth learning materials in almost every subject can be excess everywhere anywhere. Almost all information in internet are up-to-date.

HOW ICT IMPACTED OUR DAILY LIVES?

Since the world is now in the information age, information and communications technology (ICT) is significant. The company can facilitate business with the client, supplier, and distributor by using ICT. It is also crucial to day-to-day living. Lack of appropriate availability of the right information will lead to low productivity, poor research outputs, and a waste of time seeking out information and even conducting research that has already been done elsewhere or by others. Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with our daily needs.

The major benefit of ICT on people is the increased access to services, and information that has accompanied in the progress of the Internet. ICT provides quick access to affordable, and better means of communication in the form of Instant Messaging.

CONCLUSION

ICTs have an effect on nearly everyone who has access to them, and the internet has transformed our way of life. ICT connects people from all around the world so they can speak with one another online. It provides an opportunity to enhance communication, make new friends online, share private information, and expand educational prospects. ICT devices undoubtedly made life easier and more enjoyable for people, but using ICT effectively requires knowledge of information, media, and technology. Although ICT can improve our lives, we must nevertheless exercise caution when using them because they may also have negative effect. We have many options for avoiding ICT’s negative aspects in daily life. If we use the proper ways, we’ll lessen the negative effects of ICT. It’s similar to how wanting something too much leads to greed. When using ICT devices, we must use caution. ICT is the new technology of the digital age, and it has become a part of our daily lives with a confusing combination of certain benefits and other problems.
